Land & Buildings
Grimston, Saxelbye & Shoby Parish Council own the following buildings and lands:
Saxelbye Telephone Kiosk, purchased from Community Heartbeat in 2020.
Grimston Telephone Kiosk, where the defibrillator is located.
The Village Green in Grimston.
The Stocks, Shoby Lane, Grimston. These are a Grade 2 listed Building since 01.01.1968. They are probably C19 with older origins (ref Historic England 1188438).
The War Memorial, Main Street, Grimston. This is a Grade 2 listed Building since 27.04.2018. It is a Portland stone First World War memorial cross unveiled on 7.4.1920 by Captain Reckitt (ref Historic England 1455454).

Precept
The Precept is the element of your Council Tax that is paid to Grimston, Saxelbye & Shoby Parish Council.
Every year, the Parish Council draws up a budget and calculates how much money it needs for the next Financial Year. This is then submitted to Melton Borough Council. who co-ordinate the other demands from LCC, Police and themselves and come up with the rate to be paid in Council Tax from 1st April that year.
